Career Visions/ePEP

As part of Florida’s secondary school reform legislation, known as (A++) which included changes to the middle grades promotion requirements, all middle school students are required to take a career and education -planning course in the seventh or eighth grade. The Broward County school district has mandated that all 7th grade students will be required to complete the career and education planning course in the first semester of the school year.  To ensure that all middle schools meet this legislative mandate, the Broward County School District has developed Career Visions, an on-line course that help students become aware of the relationships that exist between educational and career planning and work and learning.   Imbedded into Career Visions is Choices Explorer an online career systems component that allows students to expand their views of their personal interests and learn how their interests are related to the courses that they will take in high school. Schools must use one of the approved courses to meet this requirement
